New Mexico Donor Services facilitates correspondence between recipients and donor families. You can send a card, a letter, a photo. It's all up to you.

The National Donor Family Council's brochure on "Writing to Transplant Recipients" and "Writing to Donor Families" may be helpful to you. These letters can be extremely difficult to write. You may include your first name and state you reside, but try not to use your last name, address, and phone number to assure your confidentiality.
