Sarah, Liver Recipient

Sarah was 6 years old when her family was told she needed a liver transplant to live. She was jaundiced and very ill. Her family knew they would wait a long time for a transplant because the donated liver had to come from a child Sarah's size and blood type.

"An angel saved our daughter's life" stated Sarah's dad, Rudy, during a TV news interview in Albuquerque. Watching that same news report was the family of the child who had passed away and donated the organs.

Angel was the name of the 6 year old girl whose liver saved Sarah's life.

Sarah and her family were able to meet Angel's family and thank them for their tremendous heroism during their time of great loss.

Sarah, now believes that Angel is watching over her. She is her guardian angel.
